JMD Events catering for your event organising and adminstration needs. Conferences JMD Events was established to support the UK LSA Midwifery Officers and to organise their national events, the main being the biennial National Conference for Supervisors of Midwives. The LSA Midwifery Officers’ exhibition stands at the annual Royal College of Midwives Conference and the NMC Midwives and Student Midwives Conference are facilitated by JMD Events. JMD Events organised the UK National Screening Committee Conference on 30th November 2009 at the Brewery Conference Centre, the Barbican, London and facilitated the Haemaglobinopathies Specialist (Pegasus) Course in May 2010. Administration work Non NHS work undertaken by JMD Events includes the administration of Manchester and District Medico-Legal Society and managing the web site www.mdmls.co.uk,and facilitating the entrance exam appeals process for Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School. Karen Brooke is Clerk to the Chapter and Council of Blackburn Cathedral and Secretary to the Friends of Blackburn Cathedral. PREVIOUS LSA EVENTS 5th UK LSA National Conference for Supervisors of Midwives “From Vision to Action” – East Midlands Conference Centre Nottingham took place on 22nd April 2010 with 500 delegates This is the LSA biennial conference for supervisors of midwives and those an interest with in supervision.
